Defense
No matter what character you play you should always have a general idea of how they work and what you want to do during a match. You should also take the time to learn the weaknesses your character has and how to deal with them. A few major things to know about Peach is she is easily camped and can't chase opponents well due to her being sluggish. You will spend most of your time pressuring your opponent's shield with Down Aerial. To break pressure and combos, she'll use her Floated Neutral Aerial. Her best combo starters are Down Aerial, Down Throw, Down Tilt, and Floated Neutral Air. Her primary combo starter will be Down Aerial since it will combo into all her aerials and you'll be pressuring with it already. Her grabs are great for getting opponents offstage with the exception of Down Throw being her combo throw.
Defense options- Down Smash: Catches rolls and is a fast option.
- Jab: A great tool for disrupting your opponent and getting them off you quickly. - Grab & Pivot Grab: Great for getting stage control or a combo. - Floated Nair: Great for breaking pressure and catching rolls. |
Ranged options- Turnips: Medium distance projectile helps punish mid-range and stopping approaches.

Offense
Peach has a pretty good neutral game. Peach will probably use her Turnips to approach the majority of the time. She can also use her float to mix-up her approach. She has both grounded and aerial approaches. Her Neutral Aerial has great priority being able to clank with projectiles like Fireballs, Din's Fire, Aura Sphere, and etc. Her Down Aerial is very fast, safe, and can poke shields. Floated Down Aerial can be a safe approach if spaced right, and does high shield damage. Floated Down Aerial is crucial to her gameplay because she'll be spending most her time pressuring her opponent with it. It is also great combo starter. Forward Aerial is great for covering the ledge due to the big hitbox and it can probably kill very early on the ledge. Her grabs have many combos. Down Throw can follow up into a Back Aerial or Up Aerial depending on the DI and percent they are at. Her Offstage game is very good in the game. Due to her very good recovery she can go very deep to edgeguard. Her edgeguarding is great as well with a Down Aerial that hits characters below the ledge and a strong Forward Aerial for horizontal recoveries. She can also throw Turnips at her opponent. A ledge trump gives her a free Back Aerial.
